East Sussex County Council are reviewing parking in the Rother area. They are informally consulting on proposed changes to parking and waiting restrictions in Rother District.
The proposals follow requests for changes to existing parking controls or where local residents or businesses want new controls to be introduced.
At this informal stage of the Rother review they would like to invite you to share your views on the proposals.
In particular they would like to know:
- which drawing number and road name you are commenting on,
- whether you support or do not support the proposals, and your reasons, and
- any other comments you may have.
The consultation period runs from 18 July to 8 August 2025. All comments need to be received by 8 August. After the closing date East Sussex County Council will process all responses.
The two areas being reviewed within Rye are Cinque Ports Street and Station Approach, and The Harbour Road. Maps and further details of these changes can be found here: *Rother 3 Informal Plan Pack.pdf (Map 13 page 19, and map 14 page 20).
