Rye Relief in Need

Rye Relief in Need logoRye Town Council is the sole trustee of Rye Relief in Need (Registered Charity no. 1075806) established to assist those normally residing within the town (parish boundary) of Rye who are in ‘need, hardship or distress’.

It is a fund that was created by generous bequests of past residents of Rye. RRIN is able to make grants of money; or provide or pay for goods, services or facilities; for individuals in need, hardship or distress. It can also make grants of money to other persons or bodies who provide goods, services or facilities to those in need. For more information, please see the charity’s Governing Document.

Examples of successful applications for grant funding include:

£500 awarded to Rye Out of School Club for additional heating and curtains.
£214 awarded to ‘Mr J’ towards removal costs/debt contribution.
£500 awarded to the Relate Bursary Fund towards counselling sessions.
£190 awarded to ‘Mr W’ towards the purchase of a cooker and washing machine.

Applications may be made at any time of the year and are considered generally within two months of submission.
