Co-option of a new Town Councillor
Following the uncontested election of 4 May, one vacancy exists, which must be filled by co-option.
Interested persons should contact firstly the Town Clerk, Richard Farhall to confirm that they are eligible (in law) to be considered for the vacancy. At the same time, they are encouraged to ask any questions they may have about the role.

Applications – which must be made in accordance with the Council’s Co-option Procedure (which will be supplied) – must be emailed to richard.farhall@ryetowncouncil.gov.uk no later than 11.59pm on FRIDAY 26 MAY 2023.
The Council will consider applications at a Special Meeting to be held at the Town Hall on MONDAY 19 JUNE 2023, when candidates will be given the opportunity to speak in support of their application for up to 3 minutes – and should be prepared to answer up to 3 questions.
